NSS Kuwait to conduct medical awareness campaign on Diabetes |

NSS Kuwait is organising a medical camp and awareness campaign about Diabetes, the silent killer diseases affecting Indians living in Kuwait.
Camp will be held on Friday 12th February 2010 at MASS Auditorium, Abbasiya from 5:00 pm onwards. The camp is planning to discuss the symptoms of Diabetics, how it effect the organs, complications of diabetes, its treatment, the type of foods to eat & avoid etc and prevention in Children and Adults including Women.
There will be an interactive session with experts including Dr Nandakumar Moorkath -Chairman, Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kuwait and Professor P S N Menon - ( Former Vice dean & Professor- All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi) Consultant & Head , Dept of Paediatrics , Ministry of De fence ,Armed forces Hospital ,Kuwait.
Separate arrangements are made for a free check-up of blood sugar and assess status or chance of getting a disease in future. Utilise this unique occasion to know the details of this disease. Blood check-up will begin at 4:30 pm and those who wish to participate in Blood sugar check up are requested to take 3 hour fasting before coming for the check-up.
