Kuwait diving team ends 4th stage of cleaning coral reefs |

KUWAIT, Aug 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti diving team ended the fourth stage of cleaning the coral reefs in Qarooh island that lasted several days, which includes establishing five points underwater to collect hazardous waste.
Head of the diving team Waleed Al-Fadhel told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this phase is important to view positive results achieved by the divers to set up points to access easily and protect marine life. The teams have found bits and pieces of 1991 Iraqi invasion remains prompting the divers to be very cautious with, as well as finding in previous operations seven artillery shells and three guns in depths of the water ranging from two to seven meters, he added. He noted that the team has posted its achievements via Internet, programs used for pictures, movies, documentaries, and news. World press agencies have participated with the team in the work site in spreading success and services to Kuwaiti youth in order to preserve the marine environment.
