KUWAIT, Aug 18 (KUNA) -- Philippines' Ambassador to Kuwait Shulan Primavera presented on behlaf of his government and people
a certificate to President of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Barjes Homoud Al-Barjes honoring the tremendous efforts of humanitarian aid towards the flood victims that struck his country last year. After presenting the certificate to Al-Barjas, Ambassador Primavera said in a press release that the contribution of the KRCS towards his people has helped many families. The Ambassador also praised the role played by Al-Barjas, and the volunteers of the KRCS, and stated that Kuwait is sparing no effort in extending help and assistance to victims of natural disasters in various parts of the world. Ambassador Primavera said that his country expresses appreciation towards Kuwait and its people for their continuous aid towards those in need, and victims of natural and other disasters. He also stressed that Kuwait is always the first to help those in need. The certificate handed to Al-Barjas is a testimony to the the distinguished relations between Kuwait and Philippines in various sectors, mostly the economic sector where he added that Kuwaiti investors play a major role in the Philippines' marketplace due to great commercial and investment opportunities in that country. - Kuna
