Telugu Kala Samithi(TKS) organized “VARDHAMANA GHANDRAVA GAANA LAHARI”, a grand vocal musical extravaganza on 16th September2011 evening at Cambridge School
, Mangaf with upcoming singers of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Pavan Kumar, Mrs. Sai Shilpa, Master Sai Deva Harsha and Miss Sahiti. These four singers are very well known in the music world for their talents by winning awards in prominent Telugu TV vocal talent shows. Indian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. SATISH C MEHTA graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Program started with lighting up the lamp by H.E. Indian Ambassador, Program Sponsor Rishi Kumar Reddy, President & General Secretary of TKS followed by a Ganapathi Prardhana Maha Ganapatim by Mr. Pavan.
TKS had democratic elections recently. The newly elected Executive Committee for 2011-2012 was introduced to the Ambassador HE Satish Mehta. TKS President Mr. Trimurtulu in his inauguration speech has expressed his gratitude on behalf of TKS for the Indian Embassy support and the services rendered to the Telugu community. He also requested the members to register their details online at Indian Embassy web site www.indembkwt.org.
TKS President announced the Advisory, Sports, Welfare sub committees and Program co-ordinators. Felicitations were done to the four singers and the accompanying musicians by the Ambassador.
The program was started with the famous song Vinudu Vinudu from Lavakusha sung by the junior singers Sai Dev Harsha and Sahiti. With so many old and new, classical and fast beats, and with the excellent music support by the local musicians, the program was very successful and it enthralled the audience including children. Most of the songs were from famous musical Telugu films. The show had the climax song Siva Shankari sung by Pavan and got a standing ovation by the audience. This beautiful program has come to an end with a medley based on the “sapta swaras” Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni.
At the end of the program TKS and its members observed a one minute silence in memory of Sri G. Haraprasad, ex Vice President and founder member of TKS, who passed away recently. TKS expressed their gratitude to their main sponsor of the event Rishi Jaideep Estates Private Limited.
The program was supported by many well-wishers of TKS. Committee thanked all the well-wishers for their support in making the program a Grand Success. General Secretary Mr. Ramana Murthy presented vote of thanks.
