Stealing someones private information is called 'phishing' and the most common way is through email. Paypal & Ebay call this as 'spoofing'. I got an email today morning thats why i tthought I have to share this here, so that others can learn and protect themselves. (in short this is how they hack your emails or accounts ids.)
You can learn more about it here :

- Most phishing emails use valid looking links. on moving mouse over the link or right click and see link properties you can see the real link which it takes you once you click on it.
- Phishing emails generally asks you to update your account id/email address with your password. These emails always mention that someone tried to use wrong password to login to your account so on suspeious reasons your account is about to be closed, and asks the user to verify the account by clicking on the link which takes them to a fake site, used to collect your informations. Never share your account number/id or passwords with any site, if you are not sure about it.
- Do not trust ‘From id’ on the email. Click on the 'Show details' and look at the 'Reply-to id'.
