Kuwaiti Information min. to open exhibit in Singapore Thursday

KUWAIT, Feb 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Information Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah is set to open a Kuwaiti historical exhibition in Singapore on February 11-June 27.
The exhibition will be supervised by Kuwait's Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah (DAI) (House of Islamic Antiquities).
The minister, who also doubles as the minister of oil, will be accompanied by the general supervisor of the body, Sheikha Hussa Al-Salem Al-Sabah, in the inauguration of the event, which will be held under the aegis of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
During his stay in Singapore, the minister will meet Singaporean leaders and senior officials on how to further reinforce bilateral relations between both nations.
The exhibition was last mounted in Petersburg in Russia; having achieved much success by attracting 560,000 visitors in Moscow and 140,000 visitors in Petersburg.
The traveling exhibition will then move, in its next leg, to Malaysia on July 20-December 2010. - Kuna
