Harvard studies Public Health College establishment in Kuwait |

KUWAIT, March 30 (KUNA) -- A delegation from Harvard University discussed Tuesday with Kuwait University's (KU) Vice-President for Medical Sciences Dr. Abdullah Behbehani the establishment of a Public Health College
in Kuwait, the first in Gulf region. KU said in a statement the Harvard delegation presented to Dr. Behbahani a study about procedures leading to the establishment of the Public Health College. "Public health is a medical method used to preventing diseases not only for individuals but the entire population," the statement quoted Dr. Behbehani as saying. "Prevention and awareness are done by specialists in Public Health. Those specialists monitor, observe and help shape the behavior that guarantees the healthy lifestyle of the society," he added. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Dasman Institute for Research, Training and Prevention of Diabetes, Dr. Kadhem Behbehani. The visiting delegation visited different faculties in Kuwait University. - Kuna
