Hospitals exhibition showcases variety of specialized companies

KUWAIT, April 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's first hospitals' conference and exhibition presents a wide variety of companies specialized in designing and construction hospitals, Minister of Health Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer said Monday.
It introduces donors to the companies allocated to execute the projects set alongside serving companies in promoting their products and services aimed at attracting private and public sectors, he told reporter after opening of the conference here today.
It also showcases latest developments in the domains of constructing and designing hospitals and hi-tech used in health care, he said, adding that the ministry was keen on engaging the private sector in big projects such as that of Jaber Hospital and other new health care facilities.
The ministry's policy targets achieving the goals of the development plan set by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah regarding health sector through developing the infrastructure, he said.
Meanwhile, Chief of the exhibition's organizing committee Dr. Nasser Al-Anzi said that development plan when executed would be an unprecedented leap for the ministry's infrastructure and health care facilities.
These kind of conferences help boost the nation's economy through the participation of local and international companies; therefore transferring Kuwait into a financial and commercial center, he added.
A number of government bodies are participating in the conference all of which are planning to build new specialized hospitals such as a police hospital, and others for the Public Institution for Social Security, the disabled, along Kuwait Oil Company's new hospital. - Kuna
