KUWAIT, April 18 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Public Works is constructing six multi-storey parking lots at public hospitals, and is also building overhead bridges to link the buildings of Sabah Hospital, at a total cost of KD 17.838 million.
Project engineer Nabil Makki told KUNA that the six parking lots would have a total capacity of 5,993 cars, constructed at Ibn Sina, Razi, Jahra, Farwaniya, Mubarak and Addan hospitals. The contract is for 24 months, and the parking lot project up to April 10 was 73.51 percent, while the overhead bridges were 63.67 percent complete, he said, while expecting the project to be fully completed by the end of September of this year. Makki explained that the project fell within the Ministry of Health's efforts to provide the best service to its employees and patients. Each of Sabah I, Sabah II, Mubarak, Jahra, Farwaniya and Addan hospitals, the parking lots will each have an area of 40,000 square meters, at a capacity of 1,000 cars at the each of the locations. - Kuna
