KUWAIT, July 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Health Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer on Wednesday inaugurated Jaber Al-Ali Health Center, southeast Kuwait City, after its being rehabilitated. "The center will provide better healthcare to the residents of Jaber Al-Ali Area
, Al-Ahmadi Governorate," the minister told reporters during the inauguration ceremony. "The center has five general clinics, three dental clinics, a laboratory and a public and a private pharmacies," he noted. The Ministry of Health has introduced a new technology in dentistry which enables scanning the patients while being checked. The new system is applied in all dental clinics nationwide," the minister disclosed. He thanked all those who contributed to the upgrading of the center, noting that the rehabilitation process took a long time and a great effort to complete. "The ministry spares no effort overcoming the negative aspects in the health service, but some of the problems need much time to be solved," he noted. On his part, Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Ibrhaim Al-Abdulhadi congratulated the residents of the area on the completion of the project. "The ministry channels funds to three aspects of expenditure namely, the maintenance of health facilities, the rehabilitation of health centers and construction of new projects," he pointed out. "There are four new centers under construction at present. The ministry set aside KD 120 million to the rehabilitation of health facilities in the coming years. These funds include KD 11 million which will be channeled to such projects in the current fiscal year," Al-Abdulhadi revealed. Meanwhile, Director of Al-Ahmadi Health Area Dr. Fahad Al-Fouderi said his governorate would see the inauguration of Al-Ahmadi Health Center in the coming few weeks. - Kuna
