Zain donates KD 50,000 to Patients Helping Fund |

KUWAIT, July 28 (KUNA) -- Zain telecommunications company announced the donation of KD 50,000 to the Patients Helping Fund (PHF). Zain Kuwait's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Khalid Al-Omar said
, in a meeting with PHF's officials, that Zain was keen on donating money for needy heart and cancer patients for the fourth year in a row. Zain is keen on supporting the health sector as part of its social programs, he stressed. On his part, PHF Chairman Dr. Mohammad Al-Sharhan hailed the humanitarian donation provided by Zain to support heart and cancer patients who are financially supported by the fund with a cost of KD 50,000 this year. The fund supports many patients who are unable to get jobs because of their illnesses and those who do not have enough money to get medical treatment, especially cancer patients, he pointed out. The treatment of some cancer cases costs KD 700 monthly, while some patients have incomes of only KD 200, he noted. Al-Sharhan praised the support provided by Zain and Kuwaiti people to the charitable, humanitarian, medical, and awareness projects of the society. - Kuna
