KUWAIT, Oct 23 (KUNA) -- Expansion works at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital have been completed and will be opened next Monday by Minister of Health Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer.
Head of Hawali governorate medical area Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Farhood told KUNA that the expansion building would consist of 236 beds increasing the capacity of the hospital to 781 beds, noting that such expansion was ordered by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to ease pressure on the hospital. The Health Ministry is keen on developing medical services in the country and is working on this aspect under the guidance of the Kuwaiti leadership, affirmed the official. There are plans to expand other hospitals in Kuwait. Hospitals such as Al-Farwaniya, Add'an, and Jarha will witness expansions that will witness an increase in beds by over 200. - Kuna
