KUWAIT, July 20 (KUNA) -- Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Ports Security Affairs Maj. Gen. Anwar al-Yassin affirmed here on Wednesdaythat the Ministry is committed to continue the awareness campaign
on the prevention of smoking under the slogan (Working Together For a Smoke-Free Airport) at the Kuwait International Airport. Al-Tassin said in a statement today that Undersecretary of the ministry Lt. Gen. Ghazi Abdulrahman Al-Omar is following the campaign closely, adding that the dangers of smoking multiplies in crowded places even for non-smokers which is known as passive smoking. He stressed that the law forbids smoking in all enclosed spaces for such damages that result from it, and that the campaign would continue and be activated for the sake of the health of airport attendees. He added that the commitment to the content of the campaign emphasizes the civilized face of the State of Kuwait as well as the extent of the members of the society's awareness of the importance of giving up on this scourge in order to preserve their health and well-being.- Kuna
