KUWAIT, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army held on Sunday a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the Central Blood Bank of the Ministry of Health and by a humanitarian initiative of the Acting Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
The donation center in the General Staff of the army received today army recruits for medical tests necessary prior to the donation.
A large turnout of donors was recorded in reply to the initiative of Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak.
This campaign reflects belief of the Ministry of Defense of the importance of blood donation and stems from the spirit of cooperation between the Ministry and civil society organizations, as the donation is part of national and humanitarian duties in any society. - Kuna
