A new case of meningitis has been discovered in the country, a reliable source told Al-Anba daily, adding a 34-year-old Asian man was admitted to Farwaniya Hospital
on Wednesday with the symptoms of the disease and tests confirmed that he was infected. The source said all those who came in touch with the patient were vaccinated. Incidentally, the Asian got himself vaccinated when the first meningitis case was discovered in the country. In a separate case, a woman working in a nursery school in Farwaniya was found to be suffering from tuberculosis. The woman was admitted to hospital, and all other employees and teachers were examined to ensure that they were not infected.
