KUWAIT: The Ministry of Health(MoH) is currently coordinating with India and the Philippines to recruit highly-qualified and experienced health care professionals to work as support staff.
They added that a team will be sent to these countries with the aim of recruiting nurses to meet increasing demands. Dr. Qais Al-Duwairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Affairs at the Health Ministry revealed that the teams would be sent to recruit at least 1,500 nurses. They were referred by the Civil Service Commission(CSC). Al-Duwairi also commended the new salary scale that has been created for nurses. He said this would put an end to the trend of nurses leaving the country for better opportunities, reported Al-Qabas. On a separate note, Undersecretary Dr. Ibraheem Al-Abdul-Hadi, ordered that a committee be formed in order to prepare a scientific guideline on treating radioactive substances. - Kuwait Times
