"The new center will relieve the pressure on Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital," he affirmed. "Three such centers will be initiated in Al-Faihaa, Abdullah Al-Salem and Al-Farwaniya hospitals which will expand the ministry's capacity remarkably," Al-Sayer disclosed. The ministry is going to involve the private sector in the future healthcare projects more heavily, the minister added. In an address to the inauguration ceremony, Al-Sayer said the center, located at Al-Ahmadi Medical Area, is part of "a chain of major healthcare projects." "These projects include the expansion of Al-Addan Hospital in the area and other hospital expansions countrywide in line with a generous initiative by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah," the minister pointed out. "The strategy of the Ministry of Health for the coming five years aims not only to construct modern facilities and introduce the latest medical equipment but also to improve the technical management and the quality of medical service," he underscored. As part of its pursuit of building the capacity of its cadres, the ministry will expand the programs of medical mission exchanges with world's most prestigious centers and colleges and organize international conferences and workshops, Al-Sayer added. - Kuna
