Kuwaiti authorities take precautions for protecting pupils against H1N1 |

The ministries of health and education discussed on Sunday preparations for the new year for kindergartens
and means of protecting the pupils against the H1N1 virus. Minister of Health Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer affirmed in a press statement necessity of vaccinating the students but noted that would remain on voluntary basis. Parents shall fill certain forums affirming their approval of vaccinated their loved ones, the minister said. An official statement said officials of the two ministries agreed that the ministry of health would supply the ministry of education with a team of nurses to be stationed at kindergartens according to certain schedules. The officials discussed schemes for coping with the third wave of the disease, forecast in February and March, and agreed on delaying opening schools for cases of special needs till February. - Kuna
