KISR opens registration for youth researcher program |

KUWAIT: Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) announced Sunday start of registration for a program aiming to build the capacity of youth researchers at the scientific, engineering and medical domains.
The program, devised in collaboration with the US association of science, engineering and medicine, aims to enhance exchanges between the Arab and US researchers in these domains and keep in pace with the scientific achievements worldwide, according to a statement issued by KISR. The program also aims to encourage the development of partnerships among the scientific research institutions of both sides through scholarships and financial assistances. It include a series of meetings, symposium and forums planned to be jointly held during the coming five years including the first conference on the Arab-US scientific cooperation program due between Oct 17 and 19. The youth researchers who will attend the conference will be entitled to financial assistance and career opportunities in the framework of the cooperation program and the partnerships between the institutions of both sides. The conference will gather scientists of the age category 30-45 years, from all Arab countries and the United States. --- KUNA
