Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) won an award for design creativity for the official Kuwait E-Government website at the e-Government Web Award
, held under the patronage of the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy and in cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) of the Arab League. Head of e-government at the CAIT Dr. Ittihad Al-Bahar said Sunday that the award recognized creative efforts of outstanding merit of Arab governments in the development of creative websites, whether to provide services to citizens and residents or information and transparency as well as to benefit from the global technological revolution to enhance the Arab action towards technology and create a digital environment in the region. The award is dedicated to the official institutions and the governments of Arab countries, where five awards including structural innovation, technical innovation, creative design, visual creativity and the innovation award for interactivity between the official sites governmental institutions in Arab countries, Al-Bahar said. She added that the CAIT, incharge of the e-government website, won the award for "State agencies and governmental websites" for 2011. ARADO held an award ceremony in Egypt last month.
