HH the Amir keen on IT development in Kuwait

KUWAIT, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is a man who always believed that the state should utilize all means to develop the country including growth within the Information Technology hemisphere.
With the occasion of the fourth year of Sheikh Sabah's reign almost at the doors, the Kuwaiti leader stressed his keenness to develop IT in Kuwait by launching the Kuwait IT award in 2008 aimed at integrating cyber content and allowing those interested in the subject to share their passion for the greater good.
The winning IT projects back then attracted local and international interests and investors which in turn reflect His Highness vision for IT development.
Speaking on the subject, Secretary General of the Award contest Manar Al-Hashash told KUNA that the new generation owed their gratitude to His Highness for his unconditional support, affirming that Sheikh Sabah was encouraging cyber talents to showcase their works to the public which in turn would lead to development on ever possible aspect knowing that IT applications could be used in ever possible field.
The official thanked His Highness, vowing that IT would be an integral part in the development of Kuwait.
