BRUSSELS, Dec 30 (KUNA) -- A man managed to twice breach security at Brussels international airport on Sunday and Monday, Belgian media reported Wednesday.
The man reportedlly a Guinean national managed to breach the airport's fence on Sunday night and stray onto the tarmac of the airport. He was stopped by security staff on the tarmac, questioned and later released because his name was not on any of the security lists. On Monday morning he again managed to get into the airport grounds for a second time and approached an aircraft. The Guinean was stopped by the security staff and now is under observation in a specialised unit. Jan Van der Cruysse of Brussel Airport was quoted by the Belgian media saying that there is no reason for panic. The man had no bad intentions and is not linked to terrorism, he noted. Security is very tight at Brussels airport after a Nigerian man allegedly tried to explode a device last week on an American airliner during a flight from Amsterdam , the Netherlands, to Detroit, US. - Kuna
