KUWAIT, June 27 (KUNA) -- Meteorologist Dr. Saleh Al-Ujairi said on Sunday that the decrease in temperatures during the past few days was a result of the progressing Indian Low pressure system
, effecting the country with northwesterly winds that are active during the day and subside during the night. Al-Ujairi told KUNA today that the Indian low pressure system passed over the empty quarter, southeast the Arabian peninsula, leading to extremely high temperatures earlier in the month. As for the current low temperatures, Al-Ujairi said that they will continue to almost the end of July, whereas high temperatures will return the last week of the month, and continue through the first week of August. Ramadhan will witness high temperatures, Al-Ujairi stressed, noting that temperatures will start to decrease during the last week of the holy month. - Kuna
