An American chartered aircraft was forced to land at Mumbai airport on Sunday for violating Indian airspace and abuse of signals.
"A US aircraft with 205 passengers, including its crew and US troops on board, was made to land in Mumbai while overflying Indian airspace as there was some confusion about its call sign," Press Trust of India quoted airport officials as saying. The US aircraft misused call signs, and used a civilian channel during its calls. The aircraft landed at Mumbai airport and is parked at a "remote bay", the official said, adding all passengers are on board the plane.
