Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is further expanding its global reach from Kuwait by introducing new leading fares and improved connectivity that cater to the demands of passengers travelling from Kuwait via Abu Dhabi to different destinations that include the Far East, South Africa, and Australia.

The Abu Dhabi based airline's new promotion includes fares on its Coral Economy Class. The new offer, which further includes destinations such as the Philippines, Indonesia, South Africa, and Australia has set the airline's strategy to enhance its extensive route network around the world and position itself as a serious contender for other major carriers operating in this sector.

To take advantage of Etihad's promotional offer, travellers need to book and buy their tickets before the 31st of December 2009 for travel until May 31st 2010.

Magdi Labib, Etihad Airways' Kuwait Country Manager said:

"Our new promotion from Kuwait via Abu Dhabi comes in the midst of the airline's expansion strategy, which is set to improve competitive offerings that will ultimately benefit guests and position Etihad Airways as the most preferred carrier. Customers wishing to travel abroad during Christmas, new years, upcoming holidays in 2010 that further include mid-year holidays, National and Liberation days, as well as Hala February, are urged to take advantage of our latest promotion."

"We always focus on providing greater convenience and value to our customers and this is a natural extension of that effort. Etihad Airways currently operates 21 flights per week between Kuwait and Abu Dhabi, an initiative that provides improved connectivity across our growing network of routes," added Labib.

Recently, Etihad Airways has taken top awards at this year's World Travel Awards (WTA), being voted as the World's Leading Airline by more than 180,000 travel industry professionals from over 175 countries. In addition to picking up the award for Leading First Class for the second year in a row, the airline was recognized for the excellence of its onboard product, luxurious airport lounges and strong service ethic during a period of phenomenal growth.
