KUWAIT, April 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced on Sunday new prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), including propane and butane, for the month of April.
KPC said in a press statement that the prices of propane gas would be sold for USD 725 per metric ton this month, down USD five and USD 10 over February and March respectively. Butane will be sold for USD 715 per metric ton in early April, the same price of last March, compared to USD 735 per metric ton last February, it added. LPG prices are always affected by fluctuating oil prices in the global market and technical supply and demand and other geopolitical and economic factors, economic growth and the dollar exchange rate, in addition to the repercussions of the global financial crisis, it noted. Propane and butane are used for several important purposes, particularly in cooking and production of petrochemicals. - Kuna
