OSSC responsible for KNPC''s security

KUWAIT, June 7 (KUNA) -- An agreement was signed Monday dictates that Oil Sector Services Company (OSSC) is to take charge of security services for Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).
This step falls within Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's plan to boost security performance of the corporation and its affiliated bodies, a statement by KNPC said.
Board Chairman and Managing Director of KNPC Farouq Al-Zanki who signed the agreement on the behalf of KNPC said that due to the strategic security plan adopted by the OSSC, the latter was chosen to take charge of the security services of the corporation's oil refineries.
Meanwhile, Board Chairman and Acting Managing Director of OSSC Ali Al-Obeid, who co-signed the agreement, said that his company is willing to cooperate with all companies operating in the oil sector.
He said that a fire department would be added to OSSC facilities and that the company was determined to boost its security performance.
The agreement was also signed by representative of KNPC's labor union Mohammad Al-Ajmi. - Kuna
