KUWAIT, July 14 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry Rashed Al-Tabtabai warned on Wednesday law violators who use commercial fraud to raise the prices of consumer commodities during the holy month of Ramadan.
"The ministry will apply the law to all fraudulent practices and refer those involved the concerned judiciary authorities," Al-Tabtabai cautioned.
Al-Tabtabai issued the warning in a joint press release with the ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Trade Supervision Affairs Ali Al-Bugli.
He highlighted the importance of abiding by laws and procedures of the ministry and backing the efforts being made by the ministry to control prices during the upcoming period.
Al-Tabtabai said that the ministry will monitor all offenders and will take the necessary legal procedures against violators, pointing out that firm monitoring will be applied to all markets in Kuwait in attempt to control false hikes in prices. - Kuna
