The conference and exhibition of the metro and railway is due to open on April 18 under sponsorship of the Ministry of Communication, in cooperation with Arab Union for Railways.
The company organizing the event said in a statement on Monday the convention would promote crucial issues, namely transformation of Kuwait into a regional station for land transportation.
The aspired regional railway is necessary for facilitating cross-border movement of individuals and cargo, the statement said.
The event will involve officials of the union and representatives of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK, Belgium and the United States of America.
