The rate of the Kuwaiti dinar remained stable against the US dollar at KD 0.276, the euro rate decreased to KD 0.397 on Tuesday.
The rate against the pound sterling decreased to KD 0.450, while remaining unchanged at KD 0.003 against the Japanese yen, and increaed to KD 0.305 against the Swiss franc, the Central Bank of Kuwait said in its daily online bulletin.
The increase of the US dollar and Japanese yen was due to the increasing demand on low rate currencies, within the framework of tension in markets due to the recent earthquake that hit Japan yesterday. - Kuna
