KUWAIT, April 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti authorities have banned animal imports from Djibouti and bird meat and eggs from South Africa, after an outbreak of animal diseases in the respective countries was reported.
Recently, a shipment of livestock bound from Djibouti was found to have been infected by the bluetongue disease, Kuwait's Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources said in a written statement.
An import ban on South African bird meat and eggs is also in effect, after the World Organisation for Animal Health warned of a bird flu outbreak in the country. - Kuna
