MasterCard on 4 August 2011 announced second quarter 2011 results for the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region. For the quarter ending
30 June 2011, the region registered growth in gross dollar volume (GDV) (24.7%), purchase volume (27.2%), purchase transactions (18.8%), cash transactions (21.3%) and cards issued (11.1%) versus the same period in 2010.
