KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor is planning to suspend the transactions of private companies and employers who do not submit monthly salary documents proving that their employees received payments
on time, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs Jamal Al-Dosri said no exceptions would be made in this regard and added that the salary report has become the key condition for accepting any transaction inside all labor departments.
Also, sources said a specialized committee comprising of directors of labor departments and supervisors has been formed to lay out conditions and the mechanism for transferring commercial visit visas into work permits. The committee has to submit its report by the beginning of next year.
Sources say such transfers will be allowed only if the candidate holds qualifications in technical and specialized fields. The candidate should also have experience certificates issued by organizations where he worked earlier. Moreover, the transfer will be exclusively in favor of the company which invited the candidate or sponsored the visit and that too after ensuring that the organization has a vacancy suitable for the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Also, the demographic structure of the country would be taken into account as the number of expatriates should not be more than Kuwaitis, unlike now. - Arabtimes
