Real-estates sales in Kuwait rise |

Sales in the real-estate sector rose 56.9 percent in September reaching KD 194.4 million compared to KD 123.9 million in August, Al-Shall consultancy said in a report released on Saturday.
However, reports of the Ministry of Justice showed drop of liquidity in the third quarter of the current year, with fall of the value of trading in contrast to the second quarter of the year. Value of the contracts in the third quarter reached KD 529.7 milion, with a fall of 48.7 percent in contrast to the second quarter, including KD 516.3 million worth of contracts and KD 13.4 million of agencies. Sales of housing units amounted to KD 253.6 million, 47.9 percent of the overall selling transactions. Those of the investment units amounted to KD 232 million, 43.8 percent. The report indicated that the value of the contracts and agenices, in the first quarter of the year, amounted to some KD 714.8 million, and rose in the second quarter to KD 1032 million, and dropped to KD 529.7 million in the third quarter.
