KOTC holds successful mock evacuation drill |

Kuwaiti Oil Tankers Company (KOTC) has carried out here yesterday an exercise under the supervision of the civil defense and evacuation department
, Interior ministry has reported. The exercise aimed at evacuating staff at one of the industrial installations of the liquefied gas branch in Al-Shuaiba industrial estate. The KOTC has successfully carried out the exercise, the Interior ministry reported pointing out the mock scenario included a fire in one of the liquefied gas utilities. The report went on to say that these exercises come as part of a series of practical procedures implemented by the Kuwaiti Oil Tankers Company and other oil and industrial facilities to check their preparedness for dealing with emergencies, that threaten their working staff, on the spot. Further, the report has mentioned that a joint meeting has been held following the exercise and included the concerned supervising bodies in order to discuss the shortcomings and benefits from the experiment. The exercise was attended by head of the education and guidance department at the general administration of civil defense lieutenant colonel Youssef Al-Shatti, head of the planning department captain Mohammed Obeid Al-Sawwagh and a number of the company's officials, besides a team of the security media department to document the experiment. - Kuwaittimes
