NAS's Chief Executive Hassan Al-Houri said in a statement that NAS India currently provides passenger and ramp handling services to airlines at 12 airports there and, with the success of its latest bid, will now also be handling three additional ones, which boast some of the highest passenger volumes and aircraft movements among non-metropolitan cities in India.
The award was made by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the organization working under the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation, which manages around 126 domestic and international airports in the country.
Customers [airlines] require efficient and cost-effective ground handling service providers, who have modern equipment and internationally adapted practices and procedures, to provide them with a one-stop-solution to their ground handling requirements" said Matthew Chacko, NAS's Project Manager. "These airlines can now benefit from single service level agreements with NAS for all the airports we operate and can be assured of availing themselves of the same quality of service, uniform processes and other similar shared synergies".
The NAS Group, headquartered in Kuwait, in an internationally reputed aviation services provider to airlines and airports worldwide. From its initial operations in Kuwait, it has increased its global footprint to include Jordan and the Indian sub-continent, where it currently operates at twelve airports including Mumbai International Airport, priding itself on providing world class aviation solutions. - Kuwait Times
