Kuwait University to add "Faculty of Computer Sciences and Engineering" |

KUWAIT, Dec 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait University's deans committee gave its approval over the proposal to set up a new faculty for computer sciences and engineering
and three new departments, and also approved a recommendation for formation of committees to amend certain current regulations. KU Public Relations and Media Director Faisal Al-Maqsid in a press statement Wednesday said the approvals came during the committee's recent meeting headed by University Rector Dr. Abdullah Al-Fhaid and attended by Secretary General Dr. Anwar Al-Yetama and deans of KU faculties. He added that the committee set up a sub-committee to consider amendment of current regulations which included Deputy Rector for Scientific Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dean of Student Affairs, and Dean of Admission and Registration Affairs. The amendments are to be reviewed with reference to recommendations and observations presented by KU faculty members, he pointed out.
