KUWAIT: The consumer protection manager at the ministry of commerce and industry Mansour Al-Nazhan has warned against using unlicensed supplements of unknown origins that were being sold in some beauty salons and spas, Al-Rai reported. Al-Nazhan said that after being tested in labs, some of these products that had been sold to young bodybuilders who sought quick muscle development were found to be medications usually given to animals such as horses to give them more power and stamina. Al-Nazhan also warned
that some slimming capsules contain insect eggs that hatch inside the user's stomach and devour the food in it, which results in weight loss but at the same time causes serious side effects such as stomach ulcers. - Kuna
