Kuwait teachers vie for Guinness record |

KUWAIT: Kuwait Teachers Association(KTA) will reveal a sculpture that was crafted by 800 students using 25,000 pencils as a gesture of gratitude toward their teachers
who attempted a notch a place at the Guinness record, the association said on Tuesday. The sculpture is to be revealed as the association holds the sixth 'Thank You, Teacher,' festival under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The monument may be acknowledgment by the Guinness World Records, Chairwoman of the Higher Committee Fatima Al-Zir said in a press conference.. The project involved students from different stages of education who sought to express respect, gratitude and appreciation for teachers and highlight their role in development. "This, surely, manifests the slogan of this annual festival," the official stated. - Kuwait Times
