Kuwaiti shooters well-prepared for Arab championship |

KUWAIT, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti shooters are well prepared to take part at the 9th Arab Shooting Tournament scheduled to take place in January, a number of shooters said Tuesday.
Shooter Khalid Al-Subeie who will be participating in the tournament that will be held in Kuwait said that although he would be representing Kuwait in rifle 10 m shooting for singles and rifle 50 meter shooting Co-Op and single games, he would not be distracted. He said that his participation as a single player was close to that when he played as part of the team grouping shooters Hamad Al-Hajri and Mufrih Al-Subeie. He said that being the first Arab to qualify for the Asian Shooting Championship in Qatar motivated him to seek the golden medal. Al-Subeie hailed Kuwait Shooting Club President Sheikh Salman Al-Homoud Al-Sabah and Chairman of International Airport (KIA) council for their great support and for facilitating regional and international participations. Well-accomplished shooter, Zaid Al-Mutairi said that he and his teammates would do their best to win the championship especially that they are playing against developing teams of Qaatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia. He hailed Kuwait Shooting Club for providing support for shooters and hoped that shooters would well represent Kuwait. Shooter Mushfi Al-Mutairi who won west Asian tournament in Iran last month said that he and his teammates Fuheid Al-Daihani and Hamad Al-Afasi would do their best to gain titles and be on the podium. - Kuna
