Fire Dept. to buy KD 5 million rescue boat |

KUWAIT, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- The Deputy Director of the Fire Department and Financial Administrative Affairs Khalid Al-Turkait said on Tuesday that the administration is on its way to buy an advanced and modernized boat
equipped with the latest firefighting and rescue tools and capabilities costing around five million Kuwaiti dinars. "The boat will enter service in a year and a half and will have great advantages in maneuverability during operations and maritime rescue," Al-Turkait said. "The boat, made in South Korea, is the second largest boat in the country totaling in length 39 meters," Al-Turkait added. The official noted that the boat will help the navy fire department, including fire and rescue situations. - Kuna
