"Thank You My Teacher" monument enters Guinness of World Records |

KUWAIT, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- The "Thank You My Teacher" monument, made in honor of educators worldwide on the World Teachers' Day, was inaugurated here Tuesday
under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Moudhi Al-Humoud said about the monument, which consists of 25,000 pencils, that she was very proud of this achievement which reflected the utmost gratitude to those who educate people. The Kuwaiti leadership led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah is very keen on spreading knowledge and teachers would play an integral part in this plan, said the minister. Ayed Al-Eshali, head of the Kuwaiti Teachers Society, affirmed on his part that the monument would be entering the Guinness Book of World Records, thanking all those who took part in this project. - Kuna
