KUWAIT, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- "Beit Abduallah" is a humanitarian project, specializing in providing care to children with chronic diseases, will be opened in 2010.
The idea of the project is based on the story of a Kuwaiti child called Abdullah, who suffered from cancer and sought medical care in various hospitals in Europe, and he underwent chemotherapy, but did not recover. Abdullah's family came back to the country and decided to stay with their child at home, to offer him the warmth of family atmosphere after all the pain he and his family went through, until he passed away. The "Beit Abdualla" will substitute the original house of the child and his family, and will be providing free daily medical care to its residents in an intimate atmosphere, in its multi-purpose facilities on 22,000 square meters, including medical services and emergency units, playing yards, gardens, health club, swimming pools, restaurants and chalets. The house will give the child the chance of being surrounded by his family to reduce the tense and stress the child goes through due to separation from family and living away from the house. It will be receiving children with last stages of cancer, to live with their families. - Kuna
