Kuwait State authority secures 314 jobs in only 3 months |

KUWAIT, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- Authorities in Kuwait secured 314 jobs for nationals seeking work over the past three months, an official declared on Monday
. Naderah Al-Homoud, in charge of the employment department of the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP), said in a statement the team charged with "Kuwaitization" of professions succeeded, in the last three months starting October 1, 2009, in securing 314 jobs for unemployed citizens, and that 219 nationals have been actually hired. The secured jobs for Kuwaiti youth included contracts to serve in the ministries of defense, education, higher education, health, public labor, the Kuwait Ports Authority and the ministry of electricity and water. The department is seeking to increase the proportion of nationals working in the private sector, Al-Homoud said, in addition to maintaining connections with various public departments to secure work for job seekers. She indicated that the authority had issued "nomination cards" for the job seekers, including qualifications of the work applicant, aspired salary and kind of work. - Kuna
