Haroun: privatization law is mainstay of Kuwaiti economy |

KUWAIT, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- The privatization law is one of these important laws that should be approved as it is "The mainstay and backbone of the Kuwaiti economy."
Haroun made clear in a press statement, following a meeting he held with the parliamentary financial and economic affairs committee for discussing the afore-mentioned 126-article law, that "This Meeting reflects the committee's great desire and interest in passing the significant economic laws including this one." He added that the national economy awaited such law since 1992, "And many sessions of the National Assembly passed without ratifying it." Further, the minister expressed hope for this law to be finalized soon, then put into a legal form to pave the way for passing it, pointing out that the National Assembly will put forward its remarks and some of them will be worthy of taking into account." Finally, the minister revealed that the 265-article firms law ,"Will be discussed following the privatization law and we hope to be passed in order to dovetail with the Capital Market Authority law." - Kuna
