KUWAIT, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Society for Stamp and Coin Collectors will be participating in the seven-day exhibition, themed 'Glimpses from Kuwait's Economic History', set to kick off on February 24.
Society Chairman Mohammad Jamal said in a press release that participating in this event came from the society's keenness for highlighting the positive aspects of Kuwait's past, as well as its political, social and economic interaction with countries of the world.
He explained that the exhibition was being held on the occasion of Kuwait's 49th National Day and 19th Liberation Day, making this a good opportunity to show the public the development of the postal system in the country, as well as the different currencies that were circulated.
Rare stamps and coins from the private collections of the society's members will be on display, he said.
The 'Glimpses from Kuwait's Economic History' exhibition is being organized by Multaqa Media, and is the first event of its kind that documents Kuwait's economic history and the role that the private sector played in the country's development. - Kuna
