6,000 expatriate workers to be medically-examined free of charge -- Cmte

KUWAIT, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- Executive Director of Al-Rahma (Mercy) committee for medical services of Al-Najat charitable society Dr. Salah Malallah said here on Monday that the committee would hold the medical charity Forum for the examination of foreign workers free of charge on the occasion of national holidays of the State of Kuwait on feb. 25 of this month.
Malallah said in a statement that the activities of the Forum will be held in the single workers' residential area in Amghara, home to more than 6,000 workers with the participation of more than 15 volunteer doctors from all disciplines as well as pharmacists, nurses and volunteers.
He said the committee works each year to take into account the circumstances of all Muslim and non-Muslim expatriates, including Arab nationalities, "where we make multiple medical examinations and dispensing medictions free of charge to assist and support those low wages groups." He noted that the Committee's goal is to bring happiness and joy to patients who are prevented by circumstances to be hospitalized, whether social or physical conditions. - Kuna
