KUWAIT, March 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) received from the British School of Kuwait (BSK) a USD 10,000 donation for the victims of the quake that hit Haiti in January.
Speaking to KUNA, BSK Director General Hanan Al-Mutawa said that the donations were raised by the school's students, aiming to reduce the suffering of the quake's victims. She expressed gratitude to the students for the donation, calling all bodies in Kuwait to support the victims in Haiti. Kuwait has always supported those in need in other countries as it believed in the unity of the world and the importance of the cooperation of countries, she stressed. She pointed out that the donation is the second to be provided by BSK for Haiti quake's victims. The strong quake killed about 300,000 people and caused great damage in Haiti. - Kuna
