Several development bills finished -- panel head |

KUWAIT, April 4 (KUNA) -- The Chairman of the Committee of Legislative Requirements of the Development Plan Dr. Adel Al-Tabtabaee said on Sunday that the committee had completed a number of required bills in the development plan.
He told Kuwait News Agency KUNA that the committee had also prepared a decree on a development plan agency, and laws on commercial companies, corporate governance and academic accreditation. The committee is currently working on the laws of electronic transactions, electronic signature, government sukuks and securitization, besides others. Al-Tabtabaee stressed the importance of such pieces of legislation that form the base of the development plan, being the biggest in the country's history. The process of preparing laws was done in record time, which reflects hard efforts exerted by the members of the committee, he noted. This committee was formed upon a decision of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of State for Development Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, in order to implement 45 pieces of legislation in the development plan. The committee includes seven sub-committees, and has in its membership, Dr Abduallah Al-Hayyan, Dr. Ibrahim Abu-Allail, Dr. Hamdi Al-Diwaik, advisor Mousa Abdulghani, Salah Al-Majid and Nasser Al Daraan. - Kuna
