KUWAIT, April 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Moudhi Al-Humoud said on Sunday that the updated syllabus of English language taught here could lead to "openness" to the world.
In press remarks while opening a local festival for English language, the minister praised concerted efforts between the general guidance for the English subject and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Area. She added that the festival had showcased the creativity of kindergarten and high school students, including their mastering of English language and attention to others' feelings. "This really indicates positive openness to the world," she said. For her part, Director of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Area Badreya Al-Khaldi believed that supporting talented students is one of the main goals of the Ministry of Education, given that they represent the future of the society. Further, Director of General Guidance of English (subject) Sakina Ali stressed that the second "For Creativity" festival reflects the ministry's keenness on developing students' abilities and talents in order to enable them to become active members in society. - Kuna
